Eroticon 2012 Interviews Ruby Goodnight

Erotica Writers Conference Eroticon2012 Ruby GoodnightI’m pretty chuffed that I’ve been profiled on the Eroticon 2012 web site as a delegate. I know I’ve been going on and on about this upcoming collection of adult bloggers and erotica writers, but it’s an amazing, first-of-its-kind event for those of us in the UK who write this type of material.

The lovely lady who is running it, Ruby (great kinky minds think alike when it comes to pen names), is doing an unreal job of pulling together all the bits and bobs that go along with an adult workshop / erotica conference. I do take my hat off to her, and hope I get to meet her as well as the other erotica writers around the UK who will be in attendance.

Check out the interview with me, Ruby Goodnight, on Eroticon2012’s blog.

Marie Symeou Interviews Ruby Goodnight

Before Christmas, I took part in an interview with a great blogger called Marie Symeou. She’s the author of Frozen In Time, a novel about an ancient Greek vampire.

Author interviews are a great way for erotica writers to get their names out there, and draw a bit of attention to your style. I was glad that Marie had some great questions that went beyond the “what’s your favorite color” train of thought.

For those of you who are interested in reading about this erotica writer, catch the interview with Ruby Goodnight.

So who is Ruby Goodnight?

‘Ruby Goodnight’ is my pen name, and how I’ve been known in the adult world for the last few years. I’m an American freelance adult writer, currently living in the United Kingdom. I worked in the adult fetish industry as a performer for a number of years. I take those experiences, as well as my own lifestyle, to bring a realistic quality to the work I produce. I enjoy working on projects where I can be unique and provocative. I specialize in creative writing with a focus on fetish & BDSM, but can work on general adult material as well. including gay and lesbian pieces.

How do I contact Ruby?
Click here to get to my contact page. This will send me an email, and I’ll respond within 24 hours Monday through Friday.

What does Ruby charge for her work?
As a general guide, most works are charged between $0.04 and $0.10 per word. The exact price is dependent on a number of factors, including the turnaround time required, the amount of researching I need to do, if I am coming up with the concept for the piece or if you have something already in mind, etc.

For example, providing me with an article that you basically want hand-spun will be at the lower end of the range. A ghostwritten erotica novel where I come up with characters, story line, concept, and is needed to be completed in two weeks will be at the higher end of the scale.

What methods of payment do you accept?
For those with UK based bank accounts, payments are requested through the Faster Payments System. Alternatively, I’m able to be paid through Paypal.

Does you write non-adult content under a different pen name?
For those who do not want to have an adult content writer associated with their non-adult web site, I do write under a different name for those type of projects.
